Join us for the Future World Film Festival, June 17, 2025, at the prestigious Cinema São Jorge in the heart of Lisbon!

There will be live screenings and an award ceremony recognizing outstanding films in multiple categories, including Best Short Film, Best Documentary Short Film, Best Micro Short Film, as well as awards for youth-made and Portuguese-made projects in each category.

We warmly welcome participants of all ages from 12 years old and up to submit their creative visions of the future, with a special emphasis on encouraging young filmmakers to share their unique perspectives. This exciting short film festival is your opportunity to showcase your storytelling talents, regardless of experience or equipment.

To make participation accessible to everyone, films under 2 minutes are welcome, so there's no barrier to entry-no matter how much material you have!

FILM SUBMISSIONS:

• Micro-Shorts: under to 2 mins | Fiction & Non Fiction
• Short Fiction: from 2 to 20 minutes
• Documentary shorts: under 30 minutes

All formats are welcome! Whether you shoot on a professional camera or a smart phone, we want to see your work.

AWARDS:

Adult and Youth awards for every category.
Special Prizes: Cherish the Earth and The Humanity in Harmony prize.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Submissions end March 17, 2025.
Announcements for final nominees will be April 17, 2025.
Your work will be evaluated by a distinguished jury that includes accomplished Directors, Producers, Actors and Visionaries who will be looking for creative thought-provoking innovative films.
