From the beginning of her working life in Brussels to the Mexican desert, without forgetting the first films or the last installations, Travelling is the first major exhibition in Lisbon dedicated to the Belgian artist Chantal Akerman.
From burlesque to tragic, from the intimacy of a bedroom to vast desert landscapes, the exhibition presents images from her films and unpublished documents that cover various stages of her career, through a range of media including cinema, television, writing and installation.
