To open the 2025–2026 season, the São Carlos National Theatre presents Carmina Burana, the monumental and most celebrated work by German composer Carl Orff (1895–1982).
Composed between 1935 and 1936, at the height of the Third Reich, this cantata achieved immediate success since its world premiere at the Frankfurt Opera in 1937.
