With curiosity and rigor, Vivienne Westwood (1941-2022) continuously delved into the past to assert her identity and create some of the most original looks in contemporary fashion.
Westwood is famous for her subversive approach to emblematic elements of British culture.
Skilled in technique and garment construction, the English designer reinvented elements like crinoline, bustle (or tournure), and corsetry, proposing sculptural and assertive silhouettes.
