Details

Located in Ajuda, Lisbon, Galeria 1758 is a space dedicated to promoting contemporary art and creating accessible and inclusive cultural experiences. Curated by Cristina Cabrita, the gallery was born out of her painting studio and is driven by the mission of bringing art closer to the public, fostering an atmosphere of sharing, discovery, and artistic reflection.

One of Galeria 1758’s core purposes is the exploration of creative and technical processes through workshops, offering practical experiences that encourage individual expression and direct engagement with different artistic languages. The gallery thus functions as a living space where creation and learning go hand in hand.

At Galeria 1758, visitors can also purchase small-format works by emerging Portuguese artists, as a way to support and encourage local artistic creation. Additionally, the space hosts workshops in painting, tile art, and other artistic experiences, open to all audiences, whether beginners or experienced.
