BoCA is back and will reinforce its transversal nature through an extensive programme involving a dialogue between the visual, performing, scientific and musical arts.
Lisboa and Madrid will walk side by side in 2025 along the Camino Irreal.
This is the name of the 5th edition of BoCA – Biennial of Contemporary Arts, which offers something unprecedented: a shared programme between the two Iberian capitals. This new peninsular axis for artistic creation and presentation brings together transdisciplinary projects that combine the performing and visual arts, music and cinema.
A path that lies beyond tourist maps and official guides, “pulsing in the bodies that create, resist and move, both geographically and artistically.”
From 10th September to 26th October
Various locations: Teatro do Bairro Alto; Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea do Chiado; Cinemateca Portuguesa; Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes; Centro Cultural de Belém; Teatro Nacional D. Maria II
