The Jewish Cultural Center Rua da Judiaria is dedicated to preserving, promoting and sharing the Jewish-Portuguese heritage, with a special focus on the former Jewish Quarter of Alfama, where its headquarters are located. Founded to recover and strengthen the Sephardic memory of Lisbon, the Center develops cultural, educational and community programs that bring the public closer to Jewish history, from medieval times to the present.

Its main activities include specialized guided tours, historical research, public memory initiatives, exhibitions and intercultural programs. The Center is also responsible for projects such as Stolpersteine Portugal and for establishing the cultural corridor of Rua da Judiaria, integrating art, heritage and education.

Through a continuous commitment to safeguarding both the material and intangible legacy of Jewish life, the Center aims to inspire knowledge, historical awareness and a culture of tolerance by preserving and sharing this unique heritage.
